Using the Export DUA, the sender/exporter can authorise the release of merchandise from mainland Spain to the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla and developing countries in order for it to be exempt from Spanish VAT, IGIC (General Indirect Tax of the Canary Islands) and IPSI (Tax on Production, Services and Exports) in their end-of-year Tax Declarations.
