Correos offers you a free electronic mail account, with the following differentiating characteristics:
- Account holders are identified.
- Accounts will be maintained active as long as the holder does not voluntarily cancel them.
- E-mails will be sent encrypted to/from Correos' servers.
- E-mails will be exclusively stored in Correos' servers if the sender and recipient are registered holders of safe electronic mail accounts.
- It also enables you to send electronically signed and end-to-end encrypted emails from any point, with the certificate stored in a mobile device (for example, a pendrive). Safe Electronic Mail is the first phase of the Electronic Post Box. With this service, Correos will supply citizens and businesses with an electronic address permanently associated to different applications, so that they can access all their documentation in electronic format from just one point.
The Electronic Post Box will make it possible to transmit all types of electronic documents, guaranteeing their Authenticity, Confidentiality and Integrity, and allowing for delivery traceability, Electronic Postal Certification eliminating unsolicited electronic correspondence (SPAM).
