DUA FOR EXPORT TO THIRD COUNTRIES     ¡NUEVO!

Correos wishes to inform customers that it has been authorised by resolution of the Department of Customs and Excise on 30 May 2005 to act as an Indirect Representative, which means that it, and all other authorised operators, is able to produce Export DUAs at the customer's request.

Customers are reminded that, as of 31/05/2010, Correos will require all companies depositing international post items which contain MERCHANDISE being sent outside of the European Union and with a value greater than 500 euros at the PILOT offices in Mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands listed below to include a completed Export DUA with their items

  1. by an External Customs Officer, along with a legible photocopy of Part 9 of the DUA, duly stamped as cleared by the Customs Office
  2. by the customer, provided they have received validation from Customs in the form of a customs stamp or
  3. by Correos.

Customers who would like Correos to produce their Export DUA can request so when depositing their items at our Offices, presenting the following documentation at the office in question:

  1. Official Dispatch Authorisation Form, duly signed and stamped (one copy per item).
  2. Invoice (three copies per item).
  3. All the quasi-customs certificates required to clear exit customs, issued by the competent authorities in each case (original documents and one copy per item). Where these certificates are obligatory, the non-presentation of any certificate is sufficient reason to return the items to the sender.
  4. Any other documentation required in order for the merchandise to be cleared for import at destination

Once the dispatch of goods to their destination has been authorised by the Customs Office, Correos will send the Exporter/Sender Part 3 of the Export DUA by post.

Please remember that the sender/exporter will be able to use the Export DUA to prove the departure of goods being sent from Mainland Spain/Balearic Islands to the Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla and other countries and when indicating all applicable VAT exemptions on their Tax Declarations.
