Within the framework of the European Road Safety Card, which CORREOS joined in 2007, the state-owned company gave ‘Safe Driving’ classes in 2008 at the RACC school, included in the awareness actions it offers its workers to increase safety at the wheel during their daily work.
CORREOS has also prepared the Ten Golden Rules of Road Safety, including a series of guidelines for workers to acquire habits and attitudes at the wheel that prevent or reduce the risk of accidents. The text includes general advice on safety, good practices at the wheel and several recommendations to apply in the event of bad weather conditions (rain, wind, ice, fog or snow). To disseminate these Ten Golden Rules, 50,000 leaflets have been edited and distributed in all the company's delivery units (ordinary and urgent delivery, collection services, inter-provincial routes,…), as well as among the different transport companies that our company works with.
