The Post and Telegraph Museum offers a thematic and chronological tour through the evolution of communication media, their workings and the transportation systems that have had a great impact on the development of civilisation.
The centre features stamp collections of great historical value, such as the first stamps issued in Spain as early as 1850. Also on display are thematic stamp collections from various countries.
The museum is an ideal place to learn the History of the Post, Telegraphy and Telephony through exhibits featuring collections from the latter half of the 19th century and first half of the 20th.
The Cartography and Photography archives are first-rate historical sources and are available to scholars of subjects related to the post and telecommunications, who may use them for research.
In addition to a library specialising in the Post and Telegraphy, with valuable original documents and extensive bibliography, the building houses the Post and Telegraphy Office Historical Archive.
