Frequently asked questions

What is considered as the delivery of advertising?

Advertising or publicorreo mailings are considered to be advertising mailings intended for the sale of a good or service. These are explicit commercial communications: advertising, promotions, catalogues, etc. It may also include promotional objects or merchandise. In the case of the Publicorreo optimo modality, these promotional objects or goods must be flexible in such a way that they do not impede their automated processing and subsequent delivery to the mailbox.

This service is provided for customers with or without a contract.

ALLOWED

  • Greetings. Only of anniversaries, i.e. commemorating a company's anniversary with the same message to all recipients, etc.
  • Calendars or diaries for promotional purposes (e.g. with company logo).
  • Donations and newsletters from NGOs or other such organisations or religious organisations are intended for advertising purposes and are not personalised.
  • Promotional and non-personalised sweepstakes, i.e. not containing personalised or different references or codes depending on the target audience.
  • Non-qualified magazines, aimed at the sale of goods or services, where the percentage of own advertising (not third party advertising) is equal to or greater than 80% of the total content.
  • Personalisation. First name, surname and member or customer number may be included as long as the purpose is promotional, the message is not exclusively addressed to a specific person and its content is the same for all recipients.

Which shipments are not publicorreo?

Mailings that contain messages or personal data and the purpose of which is not to promote a product or service in its entirety. Birthday greetings, Christmas greetings, calendars in general (unless they are part of an advertising campaign, commercial communication about products and services, commercial offers, promotions of any kind) etc., are not considered as Publicorreo.

  • Greetings of any other current and personal nature. (e.g. Christmas, birthdays, etc.)
  • Calendars or diaries without an explicit and verifiable promotional purpose.
  • Non-promotional, non-personalised donations and newsletters from NGOs or religious organisations (including personalised references, requesting different amounts depending on the person to whom they are addressed, etc.).

  • Unqualified, single-branded, non-promotional magazines of any kind and with third-party advertising.
  • Personalisation. The sending includes personal data and/or a message addressed to a specific person.

Can I personalise any parts of the message?

The mailings must always contain the same message and their purpose must be exclusively for the promotion of a product or service (advertising mailings).

First name, surname and member or customer number may be included as long as the purpose is promotional, the message is not exclusively addressed to a specific person and its content is the same for all recipients.

What are the requirements for these deliveries?

These deliveries must be sent in batches of at least 100, with a similar message. They will only be posted as ordinary mail and the corresponding postage must be paid.
