Delivery notice/Text message

What is a delivery notice?

The Delivery Notice is an informative document for the recipient of a delivery. The postman will put it in the mailbox if the recipient is not home when attempting to make a delivery.

In the “Sent item details” section on the front of the delivery notice you will find the item number, its origin, the sender's details and the date the delivery attempt was made. The sent item will be available in the Post Office from the following day.

The “Status of the Sent Item” section indicates if it will be re-delivered or if you should collect it from the Post Office.

The “Type” section indicates the type of item you have received (ordinary, urgent, cash on delivery, etc.).

Based on the type of “Product” (Letter, Paquete Azul, Telegram, etc.), the document also specifies how long the item will be kept for collection. After this time, the item will be returned to the sender.

The “Office” section on the back of the delivery notice indicates which post office branch the item must be collected from, including the address, the opening times, and the contact telephone number.

The “Collection Requirements” section must be filled in to authorise somebody else to collect the item on your behalf. Remember that besides the delivery notice, the authorised person will need to show their ID card and a photocopy of the recipient’s ID card. This authorisation will be accepted for all delivery methods except Restricted Delivery.
