Mainland Spain and Balearic Islands imports

Get your deliveries with no complications.

The import of goods in Mainland Spain and Balearic Islands from the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla or any country outside the European Union is subject to Customs import procedures.

Furthermore, depending on the content, security controls may also be required before the single administrative document (SAD) can be presented to the Madrid Customs Office.

These shipments require the payment of taxes and customs duty, and a payment to Correos if you choose us as your Customs and border controls service (sanitary, pharmaceutical, etc.) representative.

If your shipment is being delivered to Mainland Spain or the Balearic Islands and comes from the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla or from a country outside the European Union, there are various ways it may be processed:

  • Simplified Clearance of Import (Simplified (Simplified SAD):
    • Private addressee
    • The value of the goods does not exceed €150
    • Goods not subject to special taxes (tobacco, alcohol, etc.)
    • Goods not subject to safety controls (sanitary, pharmaceutical, etc.)
  • Ordinary Clearance of Import (Ordinary (Ordinary SAD):
    • Recipient is a company/legal entity
    • Value of goods is over €150
    • Goods subject to safety controls (sanitary, pharmaceutical, etc.)
    • Goods subject to special taxes (tobacco, alcohol, etc.)
