Delays

These products do not have a guaranteed delivery date and are not eligible for compensation for delay

Damage

Claims for damaged or missing contents for these products will not be accepted if they are made after delivery.

Correos considers all shipments to be delivered in good condition unless a Report is filed on receipt of the delivery.

Loss

Loss of shipments will be compensated.

The compensation amount must be added to the declared value, if contracted. In the case of an accident, this will be the lowest of the following amounts:

a) the declared value      b) replacement value of the lost object     c) repair value of the lost object.

Delays will be compensated by refunding the rate paid

Damage

For these products there is an option of claiming compensation for a damaged shipment or loss of contents in the seven calendar days following delivery without a report filed by Correos.

Photos of the damaged packaging and contents may be requested to confirm the damage and check whether the packaging is sufficient to protect it. During reception, Correos personnel may advise you on how to prepare your shipment and offer you appropriate packaging .

Loss

Compensation corresponding to the amount of the contracted insurance plus refund of the rate

Shipments governed by the LCTTM include insurance. Accidents will be compensated by the lowest of the following amounts:

a) the declared value      b) replacement value of the lost object     c) repair value of the lost object.

  • If claiming for a lost or damaged shipment or missing content, with insurance or declared value, the claimant may be asked for documentation accrediting the value of the goods, or invoices for repair or replacement.
