CORREOS provides the “Door-to-Door” baggage service for RENFE, allowing passengers on AVE/Long Distance or Tourist Trains to send up to three packages to more than 230 national destinations.
In this way, RENFE aims to help their customers travel more comfortably, especially at peak times during holidays, and also better manage the space reserved for suitcases on board the trains.
Collection and delivery to suit the customer:
CORREOS collects the baggage in the indicated location or if the client prefers, they can drop it off themselves at any of the 2,400 post offices throughout Spain.
The delivery period is within one day for journeys between provincial capitals with more frequent connections – for example, in the case of AVE trains that run between Madrid and Barcelona, Valencia or Seville - and a maximum period of 48 hours applies for the rest of the mainland destinations. In total, the service covers more than 230 of the main national and tourist destinations in Spain, as well as some international destinations.
The RENFE baggage service allows customers to send their conventional baggage such as suitcases, backpacks or hand luggage, providing they comply with the maximum weight and size limitations. It may also be used for sending special equipment such as prams, bicycles, golf clubs or skis.
The service can be contracted and modified via the website www.renfe.com up until 12 noon on the working day prior to the baggage collection date. The customer selects the collection and delivery points: a home address, a CORREOS Post Office, a hotel, a railway station, or anywhere else they wish.
Service times: for dropping off or picking up items using this service , working hours are from 9 am to 7.30 pm.
