The shipment can only be delivered to the intended recipient, and always after they have provided proof of identity. Delivery to entities, companies or third parties is not permitted, even with signed authorisation. There is the option to include two recipients.

Responsible Shipping: This type of non-urgent shipping is more environmentally sustainable because it allows delivery routes to be optimised during transportation, which helps reduce emissions. It’s also more socially sustainable, as it’s managed by a public Spanish company operating throughout the country that’s committed to stable, quality employment for all its professionals.

Responsible Shipping is the ideal option for shipments that aren't urgent for your company and that have delivery times between 48 and 72 hours, similar to the old 48-pack and 72-pack services. Shipping time may vary depending on the origin and destination of the delivery:  

  • Best price: with the highest quality offered by Correos. 
  • With guarantees: two attempts at home delivery with a signature and in a guaranteed period. We also offer delivery to Correos Post Offices or Citypaq. If delivery cannot be made, we will leave a notification in the postbox stating the Post Office where it can be collected within 15 days. If we do not meet the deadline, we will refund the charge paid.
  • Includes Modify: easily change the delivery details for your shipment from a computer or mobile and adapt it to your needs in real time. You can also choose whether the recipient can make changes and what modifications they can make. This option is available for all national parcel shipments with home delivery.
  • For your peace of mind: know where your parcel is at all times, with arrival notification via the Correos app, e-mail and/or SMS to the recipients. Additionally, if you are a Contract Customer  and want to ensure that your parcel reaches its destination, you can request management of incidents and feedback.
  • Close to you: for domestic deliveries within Spain, Andorra and Portugal (mainland) deliveries.

Delivery details

You choose the perfect packaging for Paq Estándar. We have a wide variety of products available in our Online Shop and in all Correos Post Offices.

Of course, the size must fit these measurements:


  • Box: Length + Height + Width = 240 cm, with no measurement being more than 120 cm.
  • Roll or tube: these items may not be longer than 120 cm or more than 30 cm wide.

If you want to send something bigger, don't worry, add an Extra Maximum for a slightly higher price:

  • Length + Height + Width = 300 cm for 35% more. 
  • None of the measurements can exceed 240 cm for 35% more.

Or add the two extra dimensions for 70% more.



Box: 10 x 14.5 cm.

Roll or tube: dimensions that allow a 10 x 14.5 cm label to be attached.


And it should weigh no more than 30 kg! 

The volumetric weight is calculated by us (40 kg maximum for contract customers).

Also, if you are a Contract Customer you can send up to 10 packages with the Multiple-parcel Shipment option.

Now you just have to tell us where you would like us to send it:

  • Home: two delivery attempts with signature. If delivery can't be made, it will be available for 15 days at the closest Post Office. Delivery option for Individual customers and those with a Contract, and the only one possible for shipments to mainland Portugal.
  • Chosen Post Office: send to the Post Office of your choice that has a parcel delivery point, where it will be available for 15 days. We notify the recipient of its arrival via the Correos app, e-mail and/or SMS, and send various reminders if it is not collected.
  • Closest Post Office: delivery to the Correos Post Office nearest the indicated home address, where the recipient will have 15 days to collect it. We send up to two arrival notifications via the Correos app, e-mail and/or SMS (the second after 5 days).
  • Citypaq: delivers to one of the smart Correos collection points located throughout the city and available at any time of day (see timetables on the website or app). 

It is important that your details and those of the recipient are clearly visible on the packaging. 

Remember that you can generate the label and pay for the shipment to speed up processing.

If your shipment suffers an incident arriving at its destination, you will receive compensation from Correos. If you would like the compensation to be paid to the recipient, you must provide signed authorisation.

National Guarantees:

For delay:

  • Period for presenting an incident or claim: minimum 3 days and maximum 21 days, from the delivery date of the shipment.
  • Compensation: the charge paid is refunded.
  • Terms and Conditions: delivery times will only be met if reception is before 16:00. If not, the period will increase by 1 day.
  • In shipments with the origin or destination in Andorra, the Canary Islands, Ceuta or Melilla, the time for customs processing will not be counted.
For damage:
  • Deadline for lodging an incident or claim: within 7 calendar days of delivery.
  • Compensation: €6.67 per kg invoiced (€6.43 per kg invoiced for shipments received in 2022). 
  • Terms and Conditions: for this type of incident, an expert opinion will determine the amount to be paid for the damage.
  • Documents to provide: we may request photos of the damaged packaging and contents to confirm the damage and check whether the packaging was sufficient to protect it. During reception, our staff may advise you on how to prepare your shipment and offer you the most appropriate packaging.
  • If claiming for a damaged shipment or missing content, with Insurance or Declared Value, we may ask for documentation accrediting the value of the goods, or invoices for repair or replacement.
  • Customers with contracts will receive compensation according to the terms and conditions set out in their contracts.
For loss:
  • Deadlines in which to register an incident or claim: minimum 3 days and maximum 1 year, from the reception date of the shipment.
  • Compensation: €6.67 per kg invoiced (€6.43 per kg invoiced for shipments received in 2022) plus reimbursement of the rate. 
  • If the shipment has a Declared Value or Comprehensive Insurance, with a maximum coverage of €6,000, the compensation will consist of reimbursement of the delivery price plus the Declared Value or Insurance. 
  • The shipments regulated by the LCTTM (Law on Contracting Land Transport of Goods) have insurance associated so, in the event of a claim, the lowest of the following amounts will be paid:
    • For the declared value.
    • For replacement of the lost object.
    • For repair of the damaged object.
  • Documents to provide: if claiming for a lost or damaged shipment or missing content, with Insurance or Declared Value, we may ask for documentation accrediting the value of the goods, or invoices for repair or replacement.
  • Customers with contracts will receive compensation according to the terms and conditions set out in their contracts.

Differences between Paquete Estándar and Envío Express shipments at Correos

Correos offers two national parcel shipping services: standard shipping and express shipping. Both services offer the possibility of sending parcels of up to 30 kg and with maximum dimensions of 60 x 30 x 30 cm. However, there are some important differences between the two services.

  • Delivery time: Standard shipping delivery time is between 48 and 72 hours, depending on the origin and destination. The delivery time for Express shipping is between 24 and 48 hours, depending on the origin and destination.
  • Cost: the cost of standard shipping is cheaper than the cost of express shipping, although both depend on the weight, the dimensions of the parcel and the distance between the origin and destination.
